What is 'summer learning loss'?

What can be done about it? There are summer / school break programs all across our region. Once parents understand the importance of keeping up learning during breaks, it's easy to find programs. Plus, there are many learning activities parents can do with children in the home.

Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows - Through its 'Boys and Girls Club Reads' work funded by UWNNS, the partnership provides opportunities for kids in the region to stay on top of their learning over the breaks. In addition, the organization provides many activities for kids during breaks.
Wells Family Resource Center - The Wells Family Resource Center provides a variety of different camps during the summer months for elementary children in Wells.
