What is a Community Champion?
Community Champions are trusted individuals who promote Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in their community by telling families about the program and helping enroll children as needed. Community Champions volunteer their time on their own schedule and as often as they wish.
Where can Community Champions promote and share the program?
Anywhere that allows you to do so. It may be in the workplace, within your faith community, at your childcare facility, in your neighborhood, the grocery store and so on.
What is the time commitment required?
There is none. Community Champions choose how much time they wish to spend promoting the program. They set their time as their schedule and life commitments permit.
How do Community Champions promote the program?
It may be as simple and impromptu as talking with someone while standing in the grocery store line or as planned as spending an afternoon talking to each of your neighbors. It may also be shared by posting a provided flyer or other materials in a workplace or a community location. It may be shared as an announcement in a meeting or other gathering. It can also be shared through social media using the provided social media tool kit.
How do I get started as a Community Champion?
Register by filling out the form below. You will then be sent further information including the social media tool kit and essential messaging. Afterward, you will receive an occasional email to update the past month’s enrollment progress and share the answer to any common questions being asked.
